Kitties & Stripes

Another outfit post from the madness of Fashion Festival, this time from rehearsals. This was right before summer really hit and it was still cool during the days. Once summer time hit, it was so hot a blazer - or any type of jacket - definitely disappeared from my outfits. We seemed to have a pretty hot summer this year, which definitely says something if I feel hot, because I am usually the one that is cold!

I honestly threw this outfit together so randomly, I pretty sure I was running behind time and didn't necessarily give my outfit too much thought but wanted to wear something that was cute and comfortable, rehearsals were long sometimes. How I came to the conclusion to pair kitty printed shorts (that apparently looked like pajama bottoms) and my striped crop top I'm not exactly sure, but it worked for the mood I was in. What do you think, is this outfit too random?

A little untucked and rough around the edge, here is a back logged work outfit post from a busy day of preparing the Fashion Festival in June. Now that I have time on my hands again I will be posting all my backlogged outfits and adventures from the past three months including outfits from rehearsals, my Chicago trip and the Cupmatch holiday. Have a great week!

Yutacan: Chichen Itza

There were only three things that I definitely wanted to do in Cancun, zip-lining (check), swim in a cenote, and visit the ruins. The last day was my chance to check the last two things off my list. Seriously, how can you visit a country and not experience the culture. They had so many different types of tours that took you out on the long drive to see the ruins, we chose one that gave us the chance to not only see a sunken cave, but also the chance to swim in one. This was possibly my favourite part of the whole trip. Though the drive was long (two hours!) it was worth it. Chitchen Itza is so beautiful! We also had the chance to visit a Mayan community to learn a little bit about the history before going to the ruins, it's amazing how these structures were built. I was a little disappointed that they no longer allow people to climb the pyramid but nevertheless grateful for the experience.

I was surprised how many people there were, most of them just taking one jump into the freezing water and then just watching the people around them. Me on the other hand, I proceeded to jump in a few more times and just relaxed in the water for a bit, taking it all in. The water was definitely cold, no understatements but it was also extremely fresh and refreshing. Given the experience all over, I would definitely do it again!Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen ItzaChichen Itza Chichen ItzaChichen ItzaChichen ItzaChichen ItzaChichen ItzaChichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen ItzaChichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen ItzaChichen Itza Chichen ItzaChichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen ItzaChichen Itza Chichen Itza Chichen Itza
Finally this concludes my Cancun, Mexico vacation posts. Yes I know it took long enough! It is so hard to post sometimes when I take these amazing trips because one there are so many photos and two; once I finish posting it is like the trip is officially over. When I post everything to my blog it is like I get to relive the experiences all over again and then when it's done it is all over. This trip was such an amazing experience I am so glad I made the last minute decision to go. Now the next question is, where next? Any suggestions, I would love to go someplace exotic, beautiful and where I haven't been yet!
