The Simple Things

This was my outfit last month when I went to the Annual Agricultural Exhibition. It was in it's 75th year this year and I hadn't been since I was about 14 or 15. I guess you can kind of describe it similar to a county fair. It's always nice to see the local entertainment showing their talent, gorgeous flowers and kid's creations of paintings, kites and vegetable cars and animals. I took off half day to attend, it was a gorgeous day and a lovely afternoon. It was a Friday as well so it was easy to change from work to casual. There was no way I was going to walk around Botanical Gardens with kids and horses everywhere in my heels so packed a backup :). It was great to relive a childhood memory and to see how the Ag Show (that what us locals call it) has changed over the years [which wasn't much]. Sometimes, it's the simple things in life that make you smile and leave a lasting impression.

Sandy Pink

This was the outfit I wore to the Alexandra Mosher Studio Jewellery opening. I decided to model my outfit after the colour scheme of her brand. Now that it is finally spring, and starting to look and feel like it I brought out my pastels. I'm not much of a girly- girl but this sweater from Forever 21 is the perfect balance of girl & comfortable and these Steve Maddens I got from Macy's are the perfect nude pump! I thought this outfit was very appropriate for the occasion don't you. What do you think of this outfit?

Event: Alexandra Mosher Studio Jewellery Opening

A few weeks ago I attended the store opening of my dear friend Alexandra Mosher. You may recognize her name from the many times I have mentioned her on this blog ( here here here here and here). Well I am so excited to congratulate her on opening her first flagship store. She has had her pieces is some boutiques around the island, but this is now the official hub for everything Mosher. She makes all of her pieces by hand and puts so much time and love into each piece. If you ask me she has become a true gem in Bermuda and her jewellery has become a true definition of the beauty you can find on Bermuda's shores - literally. No really, her most popular pieces (especially with tourists) are made from Bermuda's beautiful pink sand. I have a few pieces from her different collections but haven't been able to get my hands on a pink sand piece yet, I've been eyeing up the heart shaped piece.

Her boutique is located in the lower level of Washington Mall or she also takes orders through her website if you can't get to the store. And if you are looking for something particular or want a unique twist on one of her pieces she also does customs orders, but you have to get them in because she gets busy quick!
